Students Dancing their way to Confidence and HealthThis season we have had three Cheer teams, three Aerobics teams and two Hip Hop teams. All of our athletes have shown some great talent and dedication throughout this season.
Our upper primary cheer team Shooting Stars, future legends cheer team Sky Lights and upper primary hip-hop team Flawless, competed in this year's TFT Regional Qualifiers and then the State Finals. All three teams were successful in winning a spot to compete at the TFT Nationals competition to be held in August at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre. Our three Aerobics teams Goldies, Barbie Girls and Dancing Divas had a successful season competing in two FISAF competitions with all three teams winning a medal at both competitions. Congratulations to our Aerobics girls! All eight dance teams will be competing in the upcoming ‘Blitz It’ Competition on Saturday the 3rd August at the Golden Grove Arts Centre. This will be the first competition for our future legends cheer team Allstars and junior hip hop team Girl Gang. We wish all our team’s good luck, especially the teams competing in their first competition. Students experience many benefits when they enrol in a ‘dance based’ team, whether it’s in the form of Cheer, Aerobics or Hip Hop. All these teams are more than just fun; each of them promotes physical fitness, coordination, and posture while enhancing memory, concentration, and spatial awareness. Socially, dance based activities teach teamwork, communication skills and fostering friendships in a supportive environment. It boosts confidence and self-esteem, providing an outlet for self-expression and stress relief. Additionally, dance based teams instil discipline, responsibility, and time management. Try outs for the 2025 dance season will be held towards the end of this term and advertised on Audiri. |

We are looking at predicted student numbers for next year. Accurate enrolment details are needed so we can determine numbers for our classes. Therefore, if your family is considering moving, or you know of someone moving into our area it is important that you let us know as soon as possible. If you have a younger sibling to start next year or middle of next year and you haven't completed an expression of interest form yet, please come in and speak to the front office staff. NAPLAN Reports
NAPLAN Reports for Year's 3 & 5 have arrived and can be collected from the front office by a parent from next week. If you would like your child to bring it home you can send a text message to the school mobile 0447467152, giving permission for your child to take it home. Swimming - Role of Parents
The DfE swimming and aquatics program is a curriculum-based program and as such the direct relationship is between the instructors and the school. Where a parent attends in a private capacity they can assist the instructors by observing the following guidelines • Parents are asked not to communicate with the instructor or any child during the lesson. Direct communication in this way does distract and can impact on the safety of the class. • Parents contact the school or school representative on site, if they require any further information about the program or their child’s involvement in the program. • Parents who are volunteering with the school must have a Working with Children Check and be RRHAN-EC Trained. • Please do not purchase food at the swimming centre for your child. Thanks for your support Absences
Please remember to always inform the front office or your child’s teacher everyday your child is absent. You can text us on 0447467 152: name, class and reason for absence, or ring and leave a message on 8264 8099. |
