It is so wonderful to be back from holidays. I hope you all found some time to relax and unwind after a busy year. For me, to get the benefits of relaxing, I need to be intentional, like strolling along the beach, sitting on the verandah sipping a cup of tea listening to the birds singing whilst reading my favourite book, walking my dog along the creek in the fresh air, playing Rummikub or go-karting with my boys. These are a few of the activities I really enjoyed that helped me to relax during my break. As a parent, I have to remind myself to look after me so I can best look after my children. It is my privilege to be the Pastoral Care Worker supporting the Ardtornish community. Part of my role is to support parents. I am here to listen, provide resources and referrals if required. When you get time check out these great resources relating to parenting & relationships. They have been helpful to me, I hope they are for you.
