Ardtornish Choir Festivities
On Tuesday 30 November our choir travelled by bus & tram into the city for a day of festive singing! We sang in the beautiful Mortlock Wing of the State Library as well as the Department for Education building in Flinders St. Our songs were a mixture of traditional Carols and fun Christmas songs. |
For some, Christmas might be about having the Christmas Tree adorned perfectly with tinsel and lights, Christmas Eve traditions of leaving the carrot for the reindeer and a glass of milk or beer and biscuits for Santa, Christmas lunch, opening presents, visiting family and friends and vegging out on the sofa after eating way too much food.
For some, it is an extra cost to add to the already tight budget and the stress of extra financial worries trying to provide an extra special day for the kids.
For some, it is an extremely challenging time for those who have lost a loved one or are away from family and friends and are at odds on how to look and act okay when inside they are not.
For some, who do not celebrate Christmas they are enjoying the public holidays.
Why do we celebrate Christmas? It is a celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ.

For unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6
